What is the community shootout? 

This is an opportunity for local vendors and artists to get together and create pure magic, learn from one another and grow. Myself and friend, Darla who is a makeup artist create these shoots. 

Fun fact about Darla and I–we grew up literally an hour away from each other in Newfoundland but didn’t connect until last year when planning a styled content shoot. After having so much fun and our thirst for learning and growing, the Monthly Community Shootout was born. 

The Community Shootout is a place for like-minded creative artists to come together and create magic. This is a community of artists who value support over competition. 

We have a bucket-list of locations and venues for this next year. 

Meet Darla

A professional certified makeup artist with over 10 years of bridal experience. Darla Daisy Makeup prides herself in her attention to detail with every makeup look. Using only the top, high end makeup brands that give a flawless look each time. Darla Daisy is a full-time professional makeup artist that works year round, creating countless makeup looks for weddings, engagements, professional photoshoots or simply a night out. 

With over 10 years of experience, Darla services the entire Grande Prairie & Peace Region area. Darla enjoys the opportunity to work with Corporate headshots, rebranding, commercials, editorials, TV production, weddings & special events. She continues to further her learning & makeup skills every year by updating her product knowledge & perfecting her craft with makeup courses, classes & online learning.
